WHEN DID YOU LAST WALK YOUR GOATS?

Every day our little herd of 11 goats and 4 sheep race out of the pen to join guests for our daily goat walk!  Not a day goes by that a guest does not ask us how did the goats learn to walk with a group of people?  We actually trained the goats originally to be able to get them to go back into the pen if a guest left the door open, and it was my husband the dog lover and psychology professor who came up with an old idea.  He reminded me of Pavlov training with sound.  So when the goats where very young we opened the gate and shook the treat container which made a sound, then treated them to a goat snack, two tries and they were trained to follow the sound.  We treat the goats on the way out and on the way in, and our clever little friends follow the rules pretty well.  Check out A Tiny House Resort daily goat & sheep walk, you will be amazed and what a little treat can do
